Osella has been a partner to Valrhona since 2019 and grows cocoa on plantations in the heart of the fertile Guayas river valley. Together, we are working to safeguard the Nacional cocoa variety, an important part of Ecuador's heritage. Since 2019, we have been funding a producer support programme in eight provinces across the country, aimed at improving producers' farming practices (covering pruning, fertilization, plot renovation, improved fermentation and drying).
