Chef Freixa is currently directing the restaurants Ramón Freixa Madrid, Penthouse at The Principal Hotel and Erre at Cartagena de Indias (Colombia).

He studied hotel management at the Hotel and Tourism School of Sant Pol de Mar (Barcelona). Since the early 90s, he has known the secrets of the most innovative cuisines in Belgium and France.

As early as 1994, his father Josep Maria introduced him to the world of cooking in their family restaurant “El Raco d’en Freixa” which earned a Michelin Star in 1988.

In 2009, Chef Ramón Freixa opened his own restaurant Ramón Freixa Madrid, which a few months later earned its first Michelin Star and the second in 2010.

In 2012, he opened the restaurant Erre at Cartagena de Indias in Colombia and the next year, he created Ramón Freixa Catering, handling Teatro Real’s dining among others.

In his kitchen, tradition, avant-garde, audacity, innovation, sensibility, impeccable technique and many visual and flavor tricks coexist.
